Cetylpyridinium Chloride
In the Advanced Chemical Experimentation course, the lecturer responsible for the Organic Chemistry section, the great Julio Urones, after we had worked with 96° ethyl alcohol, asked us to include in the report for his practical the chemical formula of cetylpyridinium chloride, a common antiseptic present in the vast majority of commercial alcohols. After marking the reports, he gave us this fact: only one girl out of the forty-eight students enrolled in the course got the formula right:

The lecturer gave us this piece of advice (which I copied in class and transcribe literally):
"The essential thing when searching websites is to use your judgement – choose what’s good, because there are good things, but there are a thousand times more bad things."
